Description :Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Senior Engineer, Process Safety on a 12-month temporary basis at our Co-op Refinery Complex in Regina, SK.We operate a world-class refinery that utilizes cutting-edge technology to produce 130,000 barrels of refined petroleum products per day and an annual production capacity of 6.8 billion liters.   • Serve as an internal consultant in support of all process safety matters.
  • Collaborate with Major Projects and Plant Engineering departments to develop and imbed process safety management into project design and delivery.
  • Lead the development and collection of engineering and technical documentation to support ongoing Process Safety work activities such as development of safe operating conditions, process hazard analyses (PHA), incident investigations and new activities as agreed upon.
  • Support the continued implementation and sustainability of Process Safety programs and the Operational Excellence Management System (OEMS) by developing a thorough understanding of the work processes and collaborative effort required to support the management system.

  • You have a bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • You have a minimum of 7 - 9 years in petroleum refining or a related industry (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • You are familiar with qualitative and quantitative risk analysis capabilities, various PHA techniques (HAZOP, What-if, Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA) etc.).
  • You are familiar with incident investigation root cause analysis methodologies (such as TapRooT or Cause Map)
  • You are registered with Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS) as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng).
  • You’re honest and trustworthy, are results oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
