- Maintain and operate various utilities equipment and processes, spanning steam plants, HVAC, compressed air, water systems, natural gas and refrigeration.
- Collaborate with contractors, manufacturers, and vendors for streamlined operations.
- Develop and manage essential protocols including SOPs, PMs, PDM, and WOs.
- Spearhead project development and implementation, focusing on utilities enhancements.
- Uphold health, safety, and food safety policies.
- Cultivate a culture of engagement, responsibility, accountability, and teamwork among employees.
- 2nd Class Power Engineering certification.
- Proficiency in managing steam, ammonia, and refrigeration systems.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Self-motivation and ability to thrive with minimal supervision.
- Team player mentality with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in computer operations.
- Prior experience in a food production or manufacturing setting is advantageous
- Steam & refrigeration experience
- Additional tickets such as Millwright & Plumbing an asset
- Experience in a food processing environment
- Good computer skills - proficient in Microsoft office applications & experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Experience with root cause analysis & continuous improvement programs such as 6Sigma
- Requires initiative, results oriented, demonstrated leadership & excellent communication skills
