- Responsible for the assembly of construction and forestry-based equipment in a shop environment.
- Install hydraulic valves and route hydraulic lines
- Install and assemble components by bolting and pinning connections, including but not limited to transmissions, tires, axles, large weldments, cylinders, cabs, grapples.
- Route an install electrical harnesses
- Check and test for quality of final product
- Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedure.
- Use related instruments, hand and power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems
- Accurately and completely document on work orders all machine information, actions taken, and time taken
- Continually assess assembly task hazards and ensure work is performed safely, and to accepted standards
- Use computer applications and information systems (i.e. John Deere Service Advisor) to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis
- Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required
