Diversified Staffing Services, Alberta's leading staffing agency is currently looking for a full-time Parts Technician.DescriptionThe Parts Technician is responsible for sourcing, procuring, and managing parts and materials needed for the organization. They will negotiate pricing with suppliers, maintain accurate inventory records, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery. This role requires proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to manage parts inventory and track maintenance activities. Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment is also necessary.Duties:
Source and procure parts and materials needed for the organization
Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement
Maintain accurate inventory records and track stock levels
Collaborate with internal teams to understand parts requirements and ensure timely delivery
Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to manage parts inventory and track maintenance activities
Operate forklifts or other material handling equipment to transport parts within the facility
Required SkillsTo be successful in this role, candidates should have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in a supply chain or manufacturing environment. They should possess strong knowledge of parts sourcing, procurement, and demand planning processes. Familiarity with Dairy systems and components is a plus. Proficiency in using computerized inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite is required. Excellent communication and negotiation skills are also important for effective collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a supply chain or manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of parts sourcing, procurement, and demand planning processes
