- With guidance from the Director, develop visual merchandising standards and guidelines for our stores that align with our merchandising strategies and brand.
- Develop guides for in-store execution of merchandising programs including seasonal and transitional guides and planograms.
- Using space-planning software (Apollo), develop planograms based on merchandise specifications and assortments while taking into account varying fixture types and store layouts.
- Set up merchandise displays in our in-office mock store to test and walk-through with the team for approval before finalizing and communicating to stores.
- Support effective merchandising at store level by partnering with Operations to develop communication materials that include clear directions and timelines.
- Coordinate all visual signage and promotional Merchandising needs with our Buying and Marketing teams.
- Maintain and share reporting on metrics (ex. Turns, GMROI) and other results related to the effectiveness of visual programs and make recommendations for improvements.
- Maintain database of items in all planograms and monitor and ensure that planograms are kept current.
- Listen and respond to feedback from District Managers and store level to make sure programs are understood and effective and make adjustments when needed.
- Work closely with all areas of the Merchandising team as a liaison and provide support when needed.
- Internal: Home Office Departments, District Managers and Store Managers/Associates
- External: Vendors
- Degree or diploma in a related field (ex. Visual Merchandising, Merchandising).
- 3 - 4 years of visual merchandiser experience with corporate level experience an asset.
- Creative, innovative but also detail oriented.
- Strong computer skills including MS Office.
- Experience with Apollo space planning software or similar is an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to translate ideas into clear directions.
- True team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
- May involve travel to stores on a limited basis (2-3 times/year).
- Ability to handle physical set up of displays using actual fixtures in mock-store setting (ex. Lifting/moving product, adjusting shelving and fixtures).
