With our headquarters in Calgary, and manufacturing facilities in Leduc and California, we also have field offices in Swift Current, Brooks, Lloydminster, and Provost Alberta.We are seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Manager to join our team in NE Calgary.The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for Managing the corporate financial reporting process, including preparation of consolidated financial statements and quarterly reports to management and other stakeholders. This position will report directly to the Sr. Financial Controller.Responsibilities
  • Reconcile all accounts to trial balance, prepares and posts all necessary journal entries
  • Complete month end close duties and reporting
  • Prepare entries for consolidation of companies
  • Review balance sheet accounts and prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly GST and PST returns
  • Remit payment of monthly income tax installments
  • Responsible for maintaining an accurate asset amortization schedule including depreciation entry
  • Prepare all entries related to fixed assets including calculations of gains or losses on sale of equipment
  • Analyze foreign exchange accounts and prepare monthly adjustments
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting in a timely and accurate manner as required by stakeholders
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of accounting policies
  • Lead financial reporting projects, such as implementation of changes in accounting standards
  • Maintain financial model monthly
  • Other duties as required
Skills and Knowledge Required
  • CPA Designation Required
  • 5 years of more of experience in an intermediate finance or accounting position
  • Professional accounting or financial management experience required
  • Familiarity with the US GAAP and reporting standards
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Office and other financial management software
  • Experience using Microsoft Business Central is an asset
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to present financial reports
  • Ability to manage confidential company data
Conditions of Employment
  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
  • Overtime as required
  • Lifting or moving up to 10lbs may be required
  • Travel may be required
  • Ability to attend and conduct presentations
  • Working on site; this position is not eligible for remote work or tele-commute
