- Using AutoCAD to draft 2D based traffic plans, supervise and assist other AutoCAD users
- Utilize MS Word to create written strategies and technical reports for customers
- Collaborate with engineers to complete professionally sealed drawings
- Create temporary traffic control strategies and other reports as required; work with different departments within ATS Traffic for tenders, job planning and quoting
- Build and maintain a rapport with the general contractors and road governing authorities
- Effectively communicate with client project managers and other discipline leads regarding the design, design changes, models, etc.
- Research, review and implement methods, systems and procedures that add value to engineering service’s final products;
- Finish and duplicate drawings and documentation packages, according to required mediums and specifications for reproduction;
- Post secondary education in related field such as Construction Management, Design and Mechanical Systems, or related field is desired. Preference will be given to candidates who bring AutoCAD Level 1 Diploma or Certificate.
- 3-5 previous experience in the traffic or road safety/construction industry is an asset; Preference will be given to candidates who have completed the Alberta Construction Safety Association’s (ACSA's) Alberta Temporary Traffic Control (ATTC) course for Traffic Control Supervisor's is an asset
- Intermediate experience using AutoCAD designing and drafting experience.
- Knowledge of vehicle tracking and Google Earth is an asset.
- Understanding of temporary work zone designs construction phasing is an asset.
- Exceptional working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
