Job Description:*Temporary to support 2024 turn arounds and outages*Clean Harbors is currently looking for an experienced Health and Safety Representative to join their team.This role is responsible for supporting our Clean Harbors teams as well as our client teams within Red Deer, Joffre and Ft St John, BC. This role has the potential to support all of Canada and other teams within Clean Harbors.This role will be a rotation; 6/1, 8-12hr shifts day and/or night, starting on a 1 Month Contract.Why work for Clean Harbors?

Responsibilities:
  • Coach team members to further enhance their safety responsibility and performance.
  • Foster and maintain positive client and Clean Harbors operational relationships.
  • Boots on the ground, in the field in all weather conditions - 85% in the field
  • Audit performance and compliance with Health & Safety policies, programs, and procedures.
  • Conduct incident investigations.
  • Conduct safety meetings on topics designed to promote a better understanding of company Health & Safety policies, programs, procedures, or general Health & Safety
  • Conduct site inspections and audits to assure compliance with Corporate Health & Safety policies, programs, procedures and guidelines, and proper work practices needed to maintain a safe and healthy operation and work site
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years Health and Safety experience within an industrial setting
  • NCSO designation required.
  • OH&S certification is an asset.
  • Class 5 driver's license is required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel throughout the provinces of Alberta, BC, as well as other areas across Canada with potential for international opportunities.
