Pharmascience Inc. is a full-service privately owned pharmaceutical company with strong roots in Canada and a growing global reach with product distribution in over 50 countries.As the Production Process Engineer, you will manage equipment/room integration/modification and improvement projects assigned to you for production processes, in order to improve production efficiency and to minimise quality and EHS compliance risks. You must ensure a close monitoring of the quality, the timelines and the budget of the projects assigned to you.Responsibilities:
  • Defines the needs and prepare project feasibility studies
  • Communicates with equipment suppliers
  • In conjunction with production, engineering, maintenance, quality assurance and the contractors, plans projects to be realized in order to minimize impact on production
  • Follows up on construction works : inspection, timelines, meetings, communications
  • Ensures project closures : budgets, documentation (the CCs), etc
  • Using Lean/Sixsigma tools, analyses production equipment use, manpower and machine use in order to minimize waste and improve efficiencies
  • Assumes a leadership role as a Project Manager
  • Participates in continuous improvement committees;
  • Fulfills all other tasks requested by his manager.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
  • Capacity to manage several projects simultaneously
  • Easily capable to manage under pressure and to adapt to change
  • Bilingual (French and English). The position requires to communicate with suppliers located outside the Province.
  • Possesses a good sense of communication and of urgency (managing priorities)
  • Favours exchanges and teamwork
  • Controls IT tools: Microsoft Office, Autocad, MS project, Visio
  • Bachelor degree in Chemical, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3-5 years experience in Project Management
  • Knowledge of Aseptic processes
