MissionThe Project Director's main role is to support our customers in carrying out projects in compliance with environmental regulations and minimizing their impact on the environment. To this end, the Project Director leads the work of team members to carry out regulatory analyses, environmental permit applications and impact assessments. Our projects are highly varied in nature, carried out on behalf of both public and private clients by multidisciplinary teams.Primary Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate and lead studies
  • Prepare regulatory analyses to determine the need for authorization;
  • Plan, coordinate and carry out applications for review, ministerial authorization or declaration of conformity.
  • Plan, coordinate and manage the environmental impact studies and other federal or provincial environmental assessments, as part of multidisciplinary teams.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on sector studies, environmental authorizations or impact studies;
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop environmental monitoring and follow-up programs, and conduct environmental audits.
  • Write environmental specifications and participate in the preparation of design studies
  • Lead and support team members in the completion of mandates
  • Ensure the application of our Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) program
  • Manage budgets and project schedules
  • Participate in the preparation of service proposals and business development.
  • Profile
  • Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent
  • Pertinent knowledge of environmental legislation and regulations
  • 10 years of experience related to environmental authorizations or environmental impact studies
  • Experience in a private consulting engineering firm is a significant asset
  • Membership in the OIQ, ABQ or AQEI is an asset
  • Excellent writing skills and oral and written communication skills in French
  • Availability for occasional travel
